Pierce Said Eric Threatened Him
Jonathan Pierce agreed to speak with police.
He denied forging anything.
He said Eric had become obsessed with the estate.
According to Pierce:
“Eric accused everyone.”
“You?”
“Me. Natalie. The doctors. The accountants.”
Pierce admitted Eric called him that day.
“What did he say?”
“He said he had proof.”
“Proof of what?”
“Something he misunderstood.”
“Did you follow him?”
“No.”
Pierce had an alibi.
Security footage showed him inside a restaurant with clients during the incident at Natalie’s home.
So the person in the woods wasn’t Pierce.
Then Police Enhanced a Neighbor’s Video
A house behind Natalie’s property had an outdoor camera pointed toward the alley.
At 11:13 p.m., three minutes before Eric entered Natalie’s home, the camera recorded his pickup.
Then another vehicle appeared.
A white sedan.
It stopped briefly.
Then continued.
At 11:20, shortly after Natalie and Eric ran into the woods, the sedan passed again.
Investigators traced the plate.
The car belonged to:
Michael Grant.
Robert Brooks’ former accountant.
