The Mother Finally Became Frustrated
She returned to row 18.
“I’m not trying to take your seat from you.”
Rachel answered:
“But that’s literally what you’re asking me to do.”
“I mean I’m not trying to be entitled.”
“I didn’t say you were.”
The mother sighed.
“My son has never flown without sitting beside me.”
Rachel looked at the boy.
He seemed embarrassed that everyone was talking about him.
Rachel lowered her voice.
“I understand. But I paid for this specific seat, and your seat is nine rows back in the middle.”
The mother replied:
“And what am I supposed to do?”
Rachel paused.
Then said:
“I think the airline should solve that.”
That sentence immediately divided the passengers listening.
