Daniel Finally Lost His Patience

“No, Mom.”

Linda turned.

He repeated:

“Allison is not part of this marriage.”

Linda responded:

“I never said she was.”

“You keep trying to put her into everything.”

“I am including someone who mattered to this family.”

Daniel replied:

“At Samantha’s expense.”

Linda’s expression changed.

“Since you met her, everything I do is suddenly wrong.”

Samantha looked at Daniel.

There it was.

The actual problem.

Again, this wasn’t about Allison.

It was about Linda believing Samantha had taken a place that previously belonged to her version of the family.

Then Linda Reached for the Bouquet Again

She said:

“Give me that. The photographer is waiting.”

Samantha stepped back.

“No.”

Linda grabbed the ribbon end.

Samantha pulled away.

“Stop!”

Daniel moved toward them.

Allison tried to separate the situation by taking Linda’s hand away from the bouquet.

Linda jerked her arm free.

A nearby decorative chair shifted.

Someone backed into a small cocktail table.

Two empty glasses tipped over.

Guests turned toward the noise.

Samantha’s sister, Ashley, rushed over.

“What is happening?”

Linda pointed toward Samantha.

“She is ruining the family photos.”

Ashley looked at Allison.

Then at Linda.

“You invited his ex to their wedding and SHE is ruining the pictures?”

That did not help.
