Then the Security Footage Disappeared
Police checked the house’s security system. Unfortunately, the footage from approximately 10:30 to 11:40 p.m. was missing.
Someone had unplugged the cable.
Mason examined the system carefully.
The missing woman had disappeared.
Blood had appeared inside the garage.
A witness had seen her with another woman.
Now, someone had removed part of the security footage.
Therefore, Mason no longer treated the case like a simple disappearance.
Someone had gone to considerable effort to hide what happened.
Police Found the Black SUV
Eventually, officers located the black SUV.
It sat behind an abandoned house.
Mason approached the vehicle with several officers and examined the interior.
Inside, they found the missing woman’s purse.
Her phone was there too.
Then an officer discovered a blood-stained jacket.
Mason stared at the evidence.
The items seemed to tell a terrible story.
However, something bothered him.
The evidence looked almost too convenient.
Someone might have wanted police to believe that something terrible had happened to the missing woman.
Mason wasn’t ready to accept that conclusion.
